Omniture SiteCatalyst Helpful Tip – Name Pages
Are you, like many, leveraging the document.title to grab and populate the s.pageName variable? Would you like to change those values but do not want to be bothered by using SAINT?Within the admin tool, there is a feature called name pages that allows you to tweak what Omniture has captured. There are a few drawbacks to using this method vs. SAINT that are listed below:Name Pages:
- When you have two pages that have the same page name, they won’t be combined in the report
- Names are based on page name (original one) and not the page URL
To use this method, you will need to navigate to the admin section and then within the admin section, locate and click on the name pages link. Once in, you will see something similar to the following:
