This is a great post and is the closest thing I've found to what I was hunting for. What's missing here is mention of Webtrends, self-hosted (logfile analysis) and SDC implementations, and perhaps a discussion of Yahoo! Analytics (is anyone really using it?).What I was really looking for was a side-by-side comparison of a Webtrends Scenario Analysis report along side its equivalents from Omniture and Coremetrics. It seems that in Omniture it takes both the Conversion Funnel and the Fallout report to come close to what Webtrends can do in a single report. Thanks and look forward to any discussion!

So you are saying you have a destination URL (say www.foobar.com) andyou want to append on tracking parameters from multiple sources (i.e.Google Analytics and Coremetrics), there are a few things you can do:- you can place both into the destination URL (saywww.foobar.com/?cm_mmc=test123&utm_source=google&utm_medium=ppc&utm_term=searchterm&utm_content=content&utm_campaign=my%2Bcampaign)but then you run the risk of having too long of a destination URL.- you can create logic that maps the code to both and only using onequery string parameter in the destination URL to key off of. Googleanalytics lets you map your already defined tracking parameters totheir predefined ones.- Just leverage one of the tools since both are going report numbers differentlyPlease let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks.

Hi Dorian, what would be your recommendation in terms of multiple Tracking tools (CoreMetrics / Google Analytics) on the same website. My concern is relating to the different tracking Arguments for external Marketing campaign. How would both co-exist in one Destination URL?Thanks for your help! And btw, very nice blog

And don't forget Unica implementation. Much easier than other solutions with deep granularity and no need to setup segmentation and correlation beforehand. Many parameters can be configured in the tool rather than on the page. Not as pretty a UI, but at the end of the day, if I can get the data I need to provided insight, then I'm valuable. With other tools, at the end of the day you're looking at needing more implementation customization to dig deeper. Oh, you can reprocess your data if you add parameters and really need the data going backwards.
