Omniture SiteCatalyst Helpful Tip – ClickMap on Older or Previous Versions of Pages

So you created 5 different versions of a page for an A/B test that you were running and now your boss comes in and asks for the number of clicks on  specific links on the page for a given date range. Or you want to do a comparison between an older version of a page and the updated one to see where the clicks were occurring.Well you can either do one of two things.  You can look at a next page report to see from users coming from that iteration of the page to the given destination (for those time periods).  Or you can, if you have a saved copy of the file locally, load up the page in the browser and load up clickmap.  A good rule of thumb to remember is that you should always save your key company pages to a local directory.  Also, name the file with the time/day stamp so that when you are doing your analysis, it cuts down on trying to find when the page was live.Note: Remember if you are viewing an older page and trying to measure it against a current page, the links might have changed which will cause the comparison to be harder (or in some cases improbable to measure).  Also remember that you can save link sources only. The links saved must be absolute (that is fully specified).
