In a previous posting (entitled: Difference between Marketing Tags in Coremetrics), I explained the difference between the cm_mmc, cm_sp and cm_re tags. Today, I will discuss some of the various other tags available in Coremetrics:
- cmCreateManualPageViewTag = track links going offsite (outbound links).
- cmCreatePageViewTag = for flash tracking.
- cmCreateLinkClickTag = tracking an action that doesn’t recompile the page code (javascript link, etc).
- cmCreateManualImpressionTag = tracking an impression when one isn’t thrown (i.e. flash, text links, etc).
- cmRegistrationTag = tracking of forms. Can also be used to capture email signups.
- techproptag = on home page (acts as a page view) to track tech level stats (browser used, flash/javascript, etc).
- productTag = product view only.
- cmCreatePageElementTag = intra page content, video plays, hover-overs, etc.
- cmCreateConversionEventTag = for non commerce event tracking (success events)used, flash/javascript, etc).
- shop5tag = cart views.
- shop9tag = captures product level detail on purchase.
- order = order completion tag thrown on thank you page (order confirmation).
